“Sparky” is a gelding by the earner Sparkin Playboy, who also holds over 498 AQHA points in Reining, Working Cow & Roping, by the infamous Shining Spark (NRHA/NRCHA 3 Million+ Sire).

His dam is by One Mo Gray Fox, and is a product of some cowhorse royalty. Freckles Playboy, Tamulena, CD Olena, and Peppy San Badger.

I don’t even know how to find the perfect words to make a description for this horse. Between more than 3 trainers who have stepped in my place, he has been the favorite of the ENTIRE barn. The gentleman who rode over 350 head of mine explicitly said the words “out of every horse you have ever owned, he may just be the most fun I have had when I ride him”

For just coming 3 year old, this guy is BROKE. And I don’t just mean, trot around and maybe sidepass broke. He can spin like a helicopter, drag his butt 6 feet, and watch a flag like it is his day job with his nose to his chest.

This guy had over 7 months with a trainer before making his way north to me. The arena riding is nothing new to him. With a port bridle, in a snaffle, or without a bridle – he rides the same every which way. He will track the flag properly, and if somebody knew what they were doing, you could make him look way nicer than we ever could.

He does all the “funny” things – flags, tarps, ropes, dragging objects, or yoga balls. It will just show the mind on this colt. It is crazy to think he is barely 3 years old. I don’t even give him the credit he deserves for that. We have ridden him outside and all over the property. He crosses water, opens or closes gates, and has ridden through our woods over logs.

Ultimately, this horse will become whatever his new home decides. But let me tell you, the talent, will, and TRY in this colt is not like anything I see everyday. Play with him in cowhorse on the weekends, get him started on the breakaway or the heelside, or make him the next league sorter. I will advocate this horse, through and through!
