“Dap” is an 11 year old, slightly dappled grey gelding. He is built right, and made as thick as you’d want a quarter horse to be. And even better yet, you’ve GOT to see this guy stop.
We were told this guy came off a feedlot operation. Something tells me he also found his way into a breakaway box. He is GENTLE, and saddles up the same everyday for us. He will walk, trot, and lope on a loose rein. No buck, no popping up on the front end, no funny business – just the same honest horse for us every day.
He took to all of our desensitization tactics on day one, as if he had seen it his whole life. On the trail, he goes where you point him. He has crossed water, gone up and down hills, through the woods, and out in our cow field.
He could stay going down the trail, be used on another operation, or get going in the arena with a job.
