“JJ” is a 2013 AQHA red DUN gelding by a son of Mr Sun O Lena (NCHA $39k+) out of a daughter of the Cutting Futurity Champion Bet On Me 498, by Smart Little Lena.
This guy rides inside the arena, out in the field, or down the road. He knows his leads, and really wants to use his hind end to stop like one should. He is one you could give an arena job too, and he’d likely take right too it.
Out on the trail, he has been down hills, crossed water, and ridden out solo. We have put him through our protocol: cats, dogs, machinery, tarps, balls, cattle, and traffic. When you’re on his back, there doesn’t seem to be a thing that bothers him.
We bought this guy and shipped him from south Texas, and couldn’t be happier with that decision. He takes a moment to warm up to new people on the ground, but once he does, he seems to be right in your pocket. He has no buck, no rear, no pulling back, nor has he ever done a “dumb” thing in our care. An experienced youth would have a blast with this guy.
This guy is bred the part to make his way into the arena, or simply continue to enjoy him at home and use him on the ranch!
