“Scarlett” is a 2017 AQHA red dun mare by A Sparkling Vintage ($3 Million+ Sire) out of daughter of Dun Its Gold Nugget, by Hollywood Dun It.
I love a gelding, but man, do I love a GREAT mare even more. This gal has been just that for us.

This mare is finished on all the reining maneuvers, and does them with complete finesse. She has a fluid turn around, a natural stop, and the drive to do it every time at 110%. You don’t need to be an expert to ride this mare, and she is currently ridden, and maintained full time at home by a teenager.

Everyday, this mare saddles up the exact same, whether you take her into the arena, or want to ride her out down the trail. She is NOT marish, and is sweet as can be 365 days a year. She has been ridden out in the hayfield, around cattle, and has crossed water. She has packed kids on her back at home, and has been desensitized to all of our “funny” things – tarps, ropes, yoga balls, equipment, and everything in between.

This mare has so many different sides to her, and every single one is incredible. You could put this mare into a program to go into the reining pen, give her a try with the cowhorse, put her on the rail for a ranch class, or simply enjoy her at home with the family. Everything about her tells me she would also be absolutely wicked on the heel side. When all is said and done, she will be the top addition to your broodmare herd.
