“Metallic” is a 13 year old, NCHA earning gelding by the great Metallic Cat, out of the great mare ARC Ruby Playgunia, earner of over $200,000, by the infamous Playgun. The names on these papers are household known, whether you participate in the horse industry or not!

This guy has recorded earnings with the NCHA of well over $15k in the cutting . He has been shown by anyone from open riders, to amateurs. He has a lot of cow sense, and is one heck of a fun ride.

Outside of the show pen, this guy is a jack of all trades. He has been ranched on, turned back on, sorted on, roped on, and ridden down the trail. As of the last several months, actually, that is all we have been doing with him, and enjoying every minute of it. He has crossed water, and has ridden out alone on 50+ acres of woods and steep hills in the back of our property.

We have used him to carry guests, and have had kids on his back as young as 6 years old. I would truly trust anybody on his back. He has been through all of our desensitizing techniques, and he is a total sweetheart on the ground.

This guy has been maintained his entire life, as any athlete should be. ALL maintenance on this guy will be disclosed, but he truly requires NOTHING special to simply ride and enjoy at home, on the trail, or around the ranch.

The disclaimer on this guy, is that he vetted thoroughly, by 5+ vets around the country. He will NOT flex clean, and will move short strided on his hind at a trot. This condition never has improved, nor worsened since it appeared. He can be ridden for hours into a sweat, and will be the same horse the next day.

First, you read this, and think “why would he be in a specialty line-up then?” – and in every way, shape, and form – we still find this guy to be a unicorn. Because even a unicorn, may have a flaw. We have endless records on this guy, and will send him with every single one!
