“Miko” is a gelding son of the NCHA standout, Smooth Talkin Style, who recently made performance-horse headlines as a now 4 million sire.

His dam is a daughter of Little Quixote Abner, son of the earner Smart Little Abner who was Top 10 at the NCHA Open Futurity.

At only 4 years old, if gentle and EASY is on your agenda, don’t look any further. Let alone, he is personality PLUS. He is the one to pull out, and get the same horse every single ride. He is the first at the stall door for pets, and loves any attention he can get.

He will ride off on a loose rein or collect up right in the bridle – whether you want to be inside an arena, or outside of it. You can ride him with a bridle, or even without one. You can watch a short clip of riding him off of only our leg pressure (not even a neck rope!). You can tell he was started right and simply fell through the cracks for a chance in the show world.

If somebody said “I want something to check cows on during the week, and trail ride on the weekends, but first and foremost – make it SAFE” – I’d point this guy in your direction. He has been through the checklist: tarps, yoga balls, flags, or swinging ropes. We trail ridden him all over, and honestly, he could be the kind that is happy as can be, to only do that for the rest of his life. He has the carefree, point & shoot demeanor that anyone can find a purpose for in their barn.

The question list will always start as “what is your least favorite thing about this guy?”. If I had to ever fault him, the only thing I could say, is that this guy will (nondestructively) chew on his hay feeder in his box stall, when living inside full time. He is an angel with a crib collar on, and to be quite honest, it is not anything we haven’t been able to fix. He is a true gentleman in every way, shape, and form.
