His dam Chica Doo Shorty, is an NCHA earner herself, daughter of the NCHA earner, Shorty Lena, by Doc O’Lena.

“Rey” is bay roan gelding that is as broke as well as you can find one. He was started in the cow horse, and has all the grit, athleticism, and “cow” you could want in one. He is a huge stopper and wants to turn around. He can work a cow and has all the right sense to do it. He will ride off on a loose rein or collect up right in the bridle – whether you want to be inside an arena, or outside of it. He has a motor when you ask and moves out long strided. You can ride him with a bridle, or even without one. This guy has found himself into the sorting pen a few times, and proved he could go back there in an minute. This guy has the feel to make something great, and has all the right buttons to do so.

He has been through the checklist: tarps, yoga balls, flags, or swinging ropes. We have crossed water with him, trail ridden him all around our property, and have used him to push our longhorns around. This guy could truly go any direction in the performance world that involves a cow, or a rope. Breakaway, heel, sort, or rope calves on him.
