This gelding is by 𝗜𝗺𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘆𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, a son of the great 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘅. Night Deposit Chex was an Equi-Stat #2 Leading Money Earner across the NRHA, NRCHA, and NCHA, a Three-Time World Champion, earner of 152.5 AQHA points, and over $118,000 in earnings. On the bottom side, he goes back to 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗱𝘆, a son of 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗶𝗰, an NCHA money earner and AQHA point earner.
This guy has had every single ride in his lifetime done by us – he was started right here in-house. He has been trainer owned and trainer started.
This guy is an absolute natural stopper. Some horses eventually learn to stop, and this gelding seems like he was born wanting to stop. He naturally gets underneath himself, uses his hind end, and every ride continues to show more ability there. He has started to turn around and pivot slow. He naturally wants to travel around with his head low and level. He’s soft in the bridle, easy moving, and has a huge floating trot. He knows his leads, goes around both ways, and already knows how to move off your leg and pressure. He wants to stay connected to you rather than fight you. If you don’t know what that means, you haven’t ridden enough young ones. They all are not like that.
He accepts new things well, has never looked for trouble, and seems genuinely happy to have a job. We’ve already had youth riders on his back (please, don’t shoot us), and he has handled that responsibility exactly how you’d hope any horse would. He has been trail ridden and walked off on a loose rein better than most teenage horses we’ve had here. This horse has better manners than most horses trice his age.
This guy could absolutely go into any discipline you throw at him. He could go into the ranch riding, ranch versatility, or even try a weekend local reining. If you were looking for a breakaway or calf roping prospect, this guy has half the game down with natural ability. He does not get worked up or hot, and I bet could be on steers in a week with the right hands.
At 3 years old, on full alfalfa, and 24/7 stall time, he doesn’t need a lunge line before you get on him. He simply shows up, goes to work, and tries to do what you’re asking. If you’re looking for a young gelding with some pedigree, a huge natural stop, and the kind of disposition that makes bringing one along enjoyable, this guy deserves a serious look. Horses with this much talent are easy to find. Horses with this kind of mind are not.
