Jessie Driftin Dream is a 2021 AQHA red dun gelding that is as pretty as they come and built the way everyone wants one. He’s got that babydoll head, a clean, attractive neck, and stands up straight and correct on a good set of legs. This is a sharp, eye appealing gelding that looks the part everywhere he goes.

He is by IWR Cheyennes Pepita, a son of Jessies Dun Harmony, and out of a daughter of AL Buchli Evans. This is a pedigree rooted in proven ranch and using horse blood, known for producing athletic, trainable horses with good minds and the ability to go do a job.

This gelding rides around with a lot of feel and athleticism, while still being gentle and easy to get along with. He’s been trail ridden extensively and is as honest as they come outside. He’ll cross water, step over logs, and go wherever you point him without hesitation. He’s the kind you can cover country on and just enjoy the ride. In the arena, he’s came along nicely. He’s starting to understand his leg cues, moving off your hand and leg, and beginning to figure out how to pivot around. He’s got the tools down and all the hard stuff is done.

He’s also been around cattle and has been hauled to push cattle back at ropings. He handles himself well in that environment and shows good sense around livestock. In his previous home, he was even used in a lesson program, which speaks to his overall disposition and willingness.

On the ground and under saddle, he is a kind, forgiving gelding. While he has been used with less experienced riders, he’s not one I would call a true beginner horse, as he’s smart enough to recognize a lack of experience. That said, he has always stayed safe, never done anything out of line, and has proven to be very tolerant and level headed.

If you’re looking for a gorgeous young gelding with a great mind, solid foundation, and the ability to go in multiple directions, this is one worth taking a serious look at. He’s athletic, willing, and has the kind of presence that makes him fun to own and ride. At 15.1 hands, this guy could find himself on the head size or on the heel side. He’s athletic enough to go sorting, ranch on cows, or even try putting him on the barrels.
